It’s OK to Admit That You Want to Make Money Online
If you want to be successful and make money online, then the first thing you need to do is admit it. Admit to yourself and everyone around you that you are not just playing some elaborate online video game here, you actually want to make money online. And you want to make a lot of it.
In the Internet Marketing world, we hear two phrases, over and over again. “Overcome Your Analysis Paralysis” and “Take Action”. Most people interpret this to mean that they need to stop “Planning”, stop “Researching”, stop “Looking for the easiest way”, and just start “Doing”. And in a sense they’re right. But often, the main thing holding them back from taking that first action step is that they haven’t really made up their mind that they want to make money online.
Maybe you’re afraid to admit to yourself that you really do want to make money online because you think it’s an impossible dream. And people laugh at dreamers, don’t they? Well, what makes you think it’s impossible? There are millions of other people, just like you, making a good living online. And they started out at the same place you did. Square one. The beginning. And most of them had the same knowledge you have, or even less.
And who cares if anyone laughs at you. People laughed at Edison when he told them he was going to invent an electric light bulb. People laughed at Sir Isaac Newton when he tried to tell them about gravity. People laughed at Galileo when he tried to tell them that the Earth WASN’T at the center of the universe. But who had the last laugh? Let them laugh at you. And then a few months from now, when you’re able to quit your job and stay home with your family, we’ll see who gets the LAST laugh.
Maybe you’re afraid to admit to yourself that you really want to make money online because you think it’s just too good to be true. And everyone always says, “If it seems to good to be true, it probably is.” Well, that’s not always the case, now, is it? At one time, the very idea of electricity seemed too good to be true, and look where we’re at today.
The point is, nothing has ever been accomplished or discovered or created without someone first dreaming it into existence. And at some point, the only person who believed in the possibility of the dream was the dreamer himself. But they did believe. And they admitted it to themselves and to everyone around them.
Many people never achieve their dreams because their fear of failure keeps them from really trying. Nobody likes to fail, and it’s even worse when the people around you step up with their, “I told you so” attitudes. It’s been said that Thomas Edison had 1000 failed attempts before he finally invented the light bulb. How those people must have laughed at him. But his response to their laughter was – “I never failed. I just found 1000 ways NOT to make a light bulb”.
If admitting to yourself that you really do want to make money online is the only thing holding you back, then you have my permission to dream. Now get to work!
